Field Trip to the Primal Elements Soap Factory

How does our Primal Elements soap become soap?
Ever curious about how this happens?

Well, we were!

So, Lisa took a trip to Huntington Beach, CA to see the Primal Elements factory and find out for herself!

What did she find out?
It starts with vegetable glycerin, which is melted, hardened & pushed through a mold to form shapes.

The molds look like this:
Below is an action shot of the soap being pushed through the mold:
Here they are, waiting for their next task!

Once formed, the different shapes are combined, using liquid soap, to become pictures.

In the picture below, lilies are being combined to their stems & leaves, using liquid soap to become the Lily of the Valley soap.

After being combined, the molds look like this:
This will become Lilac soap.


During this process, more soap is being melted & scented to become the actual soap loaf. Once the finished molds are completed, they are added into the liquid, scented soap.

In the picture below, a tub is partly filled with liquid scented soap. The molds are added into it, and then more liquid soap is poured over it to complete the loaf.
One tub creates two loaves of soap.

Once dried & hardened , the soap is cut into two loaves, wrapped & sent to us.
Once they arrive, we open them, cut the loaves into bars. This is exactly how you see them in the store!
